Tony Sanderson set up various puzzles with questions & answers in our 1st Advanced group session of Leo/Nathaniel/Dima/Nicolas and Tristan.
Good progress is being made by Lathujan and Harish in the intermediate section & great to see Markus back and welcome to James who came for the 1st time.
In the 2nd session for the Advanced players Eric set up the YouTube WCC Final between Magnus Carlsen and Hikaru Nakamura on a PC. The match commentary by Gotham Chess, showed 23 blitz games over 30 minutes – wowza… – Carlsen won 13-11. What a session with the Juniors absorbed in the accuracy and speed of the games – natural break required afterwards!
Good games were played in the ladder board competition with 24 juniors taking part overall.
These include wins for Leo, Tristan, Nicolas, Jesse, Joey, Kane, Nirvan and Tudor.
